Intimate Wedding on a Brooklyn Rooftop

A interracial bride and groom pose for their wedding photographer under the chuppah on their private rooftop elopement.

Stop everything and look at the prettiest rooftop wedding I’ve ever seen!

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the magic of this small rooftop elopement for Elyse and Max. What made this wedding truly unique was the couple's desire for an intimate celebration with only their closest friends and family. And what better place to host it than their very own private rooftop, nestled within the heart of Brooklyn?! This wasn't just any ordinary rooftop; it was a hidden oasis of Park Slope that really captured all the intimacy and romance they were going for. Complete with it’s very own built-in jacuzzi!

Around 4:30pm, we ventured to Domino Park in Williamsburg for some fun portraits. The Brooklyn waterfront is super meaningful to them since they’ve both called the area home for over a decade. Plus, all those city views provided the perfect backdrop for their modern aesthetic.

Their rooftop was on the sixth floor of a walkup and you know I was so sweaty by the time I got up there with all my gear, but even so I was immediately in awe of the abundance of flowers adorning the rooftop! Elyse & Max got a custom order of flowers from Jane Packer. It was like a wonderland! There was a huge array of blue, white, and pink blooms, intertwined with lush greenery. Not only did the flowers cover the chuppah, but there were giant arrangement lining the couch and a MASSIVE amount of flowers filling the entire hot tub. I’ve never seen so many flowers in such a small space!

While the guest list may have been smaller than your typical affair, the love in the air was so apparent. Elyse and Max blended elements of their respective cultures into the ceremony, creating a beautiful fusion of traditions. Together, they jumped over the broom, symbolizing a new beginning together and also both smashed a glass, a nod to Max’s Jewish heritage.

They ended the celebration by renting out the top room of Sunday in Brooklyn in Williamsburg for an intimate dinner. That restuarant holds a special place in my heart already because the food is delicious but now that I know there’s a private room, I’m recommending it to everyone that will listen.

And I don’t know how we timed it so perfectly but scroll down to see the sunset timed perfectly with their first kiss!
