Alternative NYC City Hall Elopement

Mateo  & Elena’s elopement was an absolute DREAM. I love photographing weddings that challenge everything about traditional weddings and this elopement was that to a tee. Right down to the color of the bride’s dress. So scroll down to see the magic, because you don’t want to miss it!

Now, let's talk about Elena and Mateo real quick. They redefined the word cool. Elena rocked this jaw-dropping black bodycon dress, accented by a detachable tulle skirt made by her amazing mom. It was a showstopper, perfectly reflecting her contemporary and fashion-forward vibe. And believe me when I say, Mateo looked absolutely dapper in his all-black tuxedo, exploding confidence and unique style. But that’s just the clothes! Their tattoos are living works of art that tell the story of how they met in Panama, when Elena got inked by Mateo. Their love is all about embracing art, adventure, and going against the status quo.

Elena and Mateo kicked out the jams at the City Clerk's Office, bubbling with excitement and infectious smiles. We captured their love in the nearby streets and at the City Hall subway entrance, with the iconic Brooklyn Bridge as a backdrop. Next, we hopped on the subway to Union Square, where they enjoyed Joe's Pizza on 14th Street—a slice of New York' realness. Their edgy style shone through with sunglasses, adding a touch of punk flair. Despite the crowded Grand Central Terminal and Elena's tired feet, we captured beautiful moments that showcased their electric connection. The highlight of their day was occupying two stools in a Brooklyn bar, where they toasted their wedding and held each other close at Rocka Rolla. As you scroll through the photos, live this day and find inspiration in their extraordinary elopement experience.
